Goal of Children's Ministry
The goal of our children's ministry is to raise up our children in the fear and admonition of the Lord so that they might be the next generation of the church. As a church we seek to aid parents in three very specific ways:
- Provide children with exposure to the stories of the bible.
- Provide children with the theological foundations of the Christian faith.
- Provide children with opportunities to observe and practice basic Christian disciplines.
Sunday School: Generations of Grace
During the Sunday School hour (9am) we seek to expose children to the stories of the Bible by using Generations of Grace. Generations of Grace is a biblically based and God-centered Sunday school curriculum designed for children three years old through the sixth grade. Over a three-year period, this curriculum covers the Old Testament historical books, the life of Christ, and lessons from Acts and Revelation. On each Sunday children in every class will be covering the same passage at an age appropriate level.
On Sunday we seek to provide children with opportunities to observe and practice basic Christian disciplines. During our 10:30 AM worship service we offer child care for families with young children.
*In order to protect our kids and volunteers the children's ministry has adopted a child protection policy (cpp) that includes background checks and regular training for volunteers. Copies of the cpp can be obtained upon request.*
